Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress. Her starring role in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick was awarded two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The show ended on the 13th, 2012 following the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her recurring role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian and with English heritage. Sedgwick declares that she is Jewish and has stated that she goes to Passover seders.
